How do I save camera roll on iPhone 5 to my new mac laptop?

I have always deleted the photos from photo stream because I thought it takes up double the memory having two of the same image saved on my phone.. so my photo stream is now empty?

But i want to save all of the images in my camera roll onto my new mac laptop so i can free up some memory on my phone?

Please help someone
