Q: Help! After doing the IOS 7.1.1 update my iPad 4 just shows a iTunes icon and a cable with an arrow. It won't turn on. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

It is in Recovery Mode. You need to connect it to iTunes on your computer and restore.

I have the same problem and the Ipad will not restore. I receive a message that the Ipad is not eligible for this build.

Yes. The phone will be back to default settings.

Once the phone is up and running you can try and restore your backup again.

What if you don't have a pc or macbook to plug the ipad in to, then what?

It can't be done without a computer.

Can you use a friend's or family member's computer?

If you have an Apple Store nearby, they may help you.
