Q: what happens if my iphone was set up in stores and they did not click the syn with itunes? i cannot get my phone to sync with itunes and I dont' know why!

I cannot get my iphone 5c that i just got to sync in my itunes! they set up the phone for me and took my iphone 4 but said when I got home all i had to do was to plug it into my computer and it would sync but it isn't and i have no idea what to do!

iPhone 5c, iOS 7.1

Plug your phone into your computer, launch iTunes, then set it up as a new device.

Launch iTunes. It will prompt you to either restore from a backup, or set up as new device.

that is what i am having a problem with i'm launching itunes but nothing is happening. it's not saying there's any devices in itunes currently plugged in but ii know it's not the plug becuase ii can look at my pictures through my phone on my computer and it's charging so it's plugged in
