Final cut pro crashes on import

Regardless of file type. Final Cut crashes immediately after selecting file to import. It even crashes when trying to import from the iSight camera. It captures video and then once you hit stop it crashes. I have reinstalled under multiple accounts, deleted preferences multiple times. Anyone have any ideas?
