Macbook Pro won't boot into Mountain Lion, but will boot into Windows partition... no hardware issues
My macbook pro will not boot into mac os however it works fine in windows partition. when trying to boot up in mac os i get the grey apple logo and loading wheel. I have tried many things, including the steps outlined in the troubleshooting article. However, i have not tried to re install my mac os because i cannot connect through recovery mode. When i try and connect, even on a network that fits the requirements (WPA/WPA2), i get the message that a re install cannot be established and that i should contact apple care. Any suggestions? i also am curious how i can create a bootable drive from windows that i can boot mac os mountain lion from. How do i go about downloading Mountain lion onto my windows partition so i can create a bootable drive?...
also what could have caused this problem? could the problem actually be my windows partition? would deleting my windows partition solve the problem?
p.s. I have run disk utility and found no problems... also apple store on campus ran diagnostics and said that all the hardware was working perfectly.
MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), windows partition
