Audio files and instruments sometimes lose output

This started happening a few weeks ago and sadly I can't find an answer.

Logic Pro X sometimes just loses output on a channel strip. All the instruments are there, or the audio files and I end up having to duplicate the channel and copy the MIDI or audio down. It then works fine again but sure enough after 15 minutes or so the same happens again. Obviously with a large session it's incredibly frustrating and I wanted to see if anyone had a solution that was a bit more long term?
