We have bought a secondhand macbook air 2007. We cannot seem to reset to factory settings when we try to reload Lion it is asking for original password. Any ideas bearing in mind we are novices at this type of stuff!

Thanks for this but we have kind of got this far, basically we get to the Lion download and we try to put in our apple id etc and we are asked for the original id that the softwear was purchased with. Which we presume is the original owner's and even if we had it which we don't would simply relaunch their settings etc.
Did you erase th hard drive and load the OS X that came with the computer?
