I want to know why I keep getting this message. I had to re enter my password for "back to my mac" 3 times already since last night and once again this morning. It turns the flashing amber light when I have to re enter my password. Does any one know what the issue may be? Want do I need to do to resolve it.

Were you able to follow the instructions in the Apple article:

I tried this and it worked for one of my AppleIDs, but not for the other one. I tried deleting both and tried signing into the one that was causing the problem, but continue to get the message "an error occurred signing in". i have the same problem on my older Airport Express devices and also my new Airport Extreme 802.11ac router.

I think the latest firmware has a glitch, but I can't explain why it will register one AppleID and not another.

Ahhh !!! I just found the fix for my issue.

If you use more than one AppleID, you need to go and accept the new Apple Ts & Cs for each ID before it will be allowed to setup on each router. So what i had to do was:

  1. On each computer you use with Back to My Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
  2. In iCloud preferences, deselect Back to My Mac, then select it again.
  3. The additional step I needed to take was to click on "Account Details" on the left side, then click on "Manage Apple IDs". I then signed into each AppleId and was prompted to accept the new Apple Ts & Cs, which I did. i was then able to go back into each router and re-enter the problematic AppleID and password and this worked.
