Airplay Icon Disappeared

Can someone please help???


I have an ipad 2 and an Iphone 4S that I used to use all the time with my Apple TV through Airplay, Now I have recently Updated the software on all devices and the Airplay Icon seems to have disappeared 😠 I have tried all the troubleshooting ideas to no avail!!! My sister also uses the airplay so I borrowed her ipad but when I tried her ipad with my AppleTV the icon on her ipad had also disappeared😠😠 can anyone please HELP!!!

Are all devices connected to the same network? Do not assume, confirm.


Some routers create seperate networks for the wired and wireless networks. Some routers even create seperate networks for the 2.4G and 5G wireless networks. All devices must be on the same network, so either connect them all to the same 2.4G wireless or turn off the feature in the router that seperates the networks.
