History channel on Apple TV via FIOS

Yesterday Apple announced the availability of A&E content on the Apple TV. I have 3 devices in my house. I have updated the software on all of them just to be sure that this could not be the cause of my problem. I am unable to access any of the A&E channels from the Apple TV. When I try, I see that the content is locked. Clicking on the content takes me to a page on the Apple TV that says I need to authorize the device and it gives me a code and tells me to go to a web site and enter the code. I do this. I select Verizon FIOS as my provider and enter the code. When I submit, it pops up a window within which I should authenticate to FIOS. I do that. I get a new page that says that my device has been authorized, enjoy watching! Great! Except that nothing happens on the Apple TV. I still see the page with the code. So, I hit menu and go back to the selection page. Content is still locked. Restart Apple TV. No luck. Every time I go to watch any of A&E's channels on the TV I have to go through the same steps. I have gone through FIOS support and they have verified that, as far as they can see, I should be able to watch the content on the Apple TV. I have contacted Apple Support, and they have said that there is nothing they can do, they are simply a portal. Reminds me of the old days when, if you had software problems on your computer, the software developer would tell you that it was because of the computer, call the manufacturer, and the manufacturer would say that the problem was with the software developer. Very frustrating. Is anyone else having a similar issue?
