I bought an Airport Extreme to extend my verizon wifi signal across my house. I have it plugged into the Verizon router with an ethernet cable and I used the same network name and pasword. It's still not working. (Yellow light.) Help!

Need to know what version of AirPort Utility that you are using on your computer...should be 6.3.x on a Mac.... or, whether you are using an iPhone/iPad to configure the AirPort Extreme.

Have you tested the Ethernet cable connection by temporarily connecting a laptop to the cable, turning off the wireless on the laptop, then checking to make sure that you can get a good Internet connection that way?
