itunes download errors

I keep getting errors when trying to download movies / tv shows.... it says it is going to take like 18 hours for a movie.... and then it just stops and gives me error 3253. This just started a week ago. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Apple where they insisted that it was my Seagate Central that was messing it all up.... even though I told them I get the errors on multiple devices no matter where my library was. I was using my spare 1TB Time Capsul as my external hard drive and had no issues then....

Can anyone help?
