How do I connect an Infocus projector (IN2116) to my Macbook pro?

I have a Infocus IN2116 Projector and I have been having trouble getting it to recognize my macbook pro. Can someone help?😕

I have the Vga adapter, Vga cord, and a Usb to mini 5pin usb cord (bought separately). Also i know its not the projector because my Xbox connects with no problems.
