How do I downgrade my icloud storage

Spent about 40 minutes now on apple site trying to contact someone to ask them what to do. Finally found instructions how to do this on my ipod but won't let me hit "done" when I downgrade. Will it only work on the anniversary of the upgrade or can I do it before. Help please someone. Waiting for apple to call me back in "two minutes" and that was at 7.43pm. Getting fed up!!

You can downgrade before the renewal date and it will become effective when your current plan year ends. Make sure you are doing it this way: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4874. If you are and it isn't working, try contacting the Apple online store for your country for assistance. If worse comes to worse, you can always call the online store withing 15 days after the renewal and request a refund.
