My Mazda CX-5 Bose Stereo keeps forgetting the blue tooth settings

I am having some issue with my 2014 Mazda CX-5 Bose stereo/Bluetooth and wondered if anyone has had/resolved similar issues?

Issue 1 - the Bluetooth settings are set up to use my iPhone 5S as the phone and my iPod 5th generation as the music player.

However, every time I switch the engine on the settings are forgotten and the stereo defaults both the music player and phone to the iPhone.

As there is no music on my iPhone this means I am continually changing the music player back to the iPod. (This was never an issue with an android phone)

Issue 2 - Every time the iPhone connects the contacts are downloaded, even though they are the same on each occasion. Does the CX-5 stereo not remember contacts like a Ford does?

Issue 3 - I am not able to shuffle songs via the car stereo, if I click shuffle on the iPod this unclick's immediately when playing via the car stereo

N.B. To resolve the Bluetooth connectivity issues I have also tried connecting the iPod via the USB but, by the time I have traveled the 15 minutes to work, it still hasn't connected.

Can anyone offer me any advice on how to resolve any of these issues please?

UPDATE

After taking my car to the dealer I bought it from less than three months ago (who reading between the lines didn't believe these obvious faults exist) I spoke to Mazda directly.

They advised these issues will be fixed by a module that they are developing. This was due out last month (April 2014)

I was advised to ring my dealer once a month to see if it was available yet. (As it isn't safety related it isn't classed as a recall so they probably won't tell the customer...)

Can you describe what happens? Because I think any CX-5 should recognize 'shuffle all'. Do you hit the 'voice command' button, and wait for the beep? It's the button with a picture of a face with wireless signal coming from the mouth 🙂 on the left of the steering wheel. If you wait for the beep and just say 'shuffle', I think it should ask you for options. You can also say 'help' I think. Play around with it and let me know what it prompts back.

I Just bought my cx5 last week, having the same issue with my iPhone 5. It takes about 3-4mins to download the contacts, sometime after it finish it still say there are nothing in the phone book, "would you like to download contacts".... Had to do it again! and again.

The annoying thing, after you restart the engine, you have to do it all again. Please help fix this.

"If you contact your local dealer they can order the module for you. (Takes five days for them to receive)"

My dealer: "Craig, Mazda is aware of several issues relating to phone and I-pod integration and as of today there are no updates." Luther Brookdale Mazda, Suburban Minneapolis

Sushalucy, if you could ask your dealer for the exact information (product number, release update, etc.) and post it, I'm sure those of us with laggard dealerships would greatly appreciate it.

I have discovered that my issue was, I have to admit, operator error. In my 2015 Mazda CX-5, by pressing the button with the drawing of a head on it (on the steering wheel), my Mazda talks me through my options, which includes "Shuffle." Once I pick "Shuffle," I get additional options including "All." It then works until I shut off the engine. Then I have to do the **** thing all over again, but that's a Mazda programming issue, not an error.
