Matrox Card and FCS 3

I just purchased a Matrox Card for my Mac Pro 3,1 and was wondering how it may increase performance. Right now I am running a test file (for a project that has already been delivered) and so far, I am not noticing a significant difference. Unsure if the file is H264, but definitely Quicktime.

Is additional software needed? Any dirvers? System Profiler shows a card identified as "pci102b,8340:"

Well you should check if you have the latest/appropriate driver for the hardware and software you are using.

It's been a few years since I owned a Matrox product but go to the website, create an account and navigate to the support download page which will give you options to find the correct driver for the OS and NLE, etc. that you are using.
