Can't access the itunes movie library

Hello Apple!


Why has my generation 1 apple TV device not working properly? This appears to be a common problem all within the past few weeks from reading online blogs. It is not allowing me to rent or preview movies from the iTunes movie library. I have reset the unit to original manufacturer settings, upgraded the software, un-synced and re-synced to my iTunes and disconnected and reconnected multiple times. No change? It slow when trying or delayed when trying to scroll across the menus?


Please advice!!
