restore macbook to factory settings
I purchased a vintage Macbook Pro and need to have it restored to factory settings. It's a late model 2008 a1260. Please advise.

Insert its original disk, restart the computer with the C key held down, use the Disk Utility to erase the partition with Mac OS X installed, and install a fresh OS onto it. If desired, you can use a retail Mac OS X DVD newer than it instead, but won't get iLife.

Thank you Niel. One more question. I need to purchase the Snow Leopard (original disc), but what is the "fresh disc?" Again, thanks for time.
A new OS installation, as opposed to one which still has files from the previous one.

Thank you Sir...
