Does Logic X offer free updates?

I am new to music production and was going to torrent logic x but I am willing to buy the program if I do not have to pay for updates. If I buy logic pro x do I receive free updates?

Updates are typically free with Logic Pro... We have had 6 updates to LPX so far, all free... in the year since it was released... and all the updates to Logic Pro 9 over a 4 year period, were also all free.

Upgrades are different however... So when/if Logic Pro 11 comes out, that will be a paid for upgrade/new app typically, much like almost every other DAW out there...

However, in the past, it has typically been at least 3-4 years between major upgrades.... so I personally don't expect to have to pay for an upgrade/new app for quite some time yet 🙂

thank you,

i am more worried about bugs and small updates to make the program run more smoothly. For me it doesnt make sense to keep unistalling and reinstalling torrent files for that reason. It's much easier to pay the flat $200. Its also much easier to learn here instead of spending 500-600 on ableton..

Not to say, much more legal.... and if you do find a bug, you know its a real bug and not the consequence of using a cracked or otherwise 'messed with' version.... 🙂
