iphone has stopped picking up WIFI

So ever since the last update which was 7.1 , my iPhone keeps dropping WIFI. and now it wont pick it up at all. like nothing. no networks, no nothing. usually my house wil pick up around 10 other wifis. Even my computer now is connected with wifi but the iphone will not. its a iphone 4S with iOS 7.1

I've read all the other threads about troubleshoots. I have reset the settings and what not. I have restarted the phone and yes wifi is on. and no I will not put my phone in the freezer or anything silly like that.

Has there been a solution to this? or a cause found? is it physical like the wifi chip being f'd up?

Thanks

I'm afraid won't repair a phone like yours with a WIFI problem without charging costs for it.

Please contact Apple and see what the costs are but i'm afraid that if it's no longer under warranty that you could better by a new phone. It's very odd that this WIFI problem occurs in most cases after an iOS update.

I assume you also did a network reset on your iPhone 4S i assume? I was lucky that this not occured with any recent update on my iPhone 4S that now runs iOS 7.1.1 which i updated all times OTA (wireless).
