Logic Pro X won't start?

I have just downloaded Logic Pro X the latest version 10.0.6 and it installed and started,

I played around for a while after it installed the content and got used to Logic Pro X, but for some reason on a VI track I didnt get the bounce in place showing on my File > bounce???

This was odd, so closed the program and tried to re-open

I clicked the Logic X icon and it bounced once but never opens?? - I deleted the com.plist preferences as mentioned in other posts about not opening but still nothing??

Help?

OS X 10.9.2

Once you are in.. then change the startup preferences in Logic so it does not open the last project automatically...

To rescue the problem project ...

Create a new project and then use the Selective Track Import feature in LPX to import each track, one at a time, from your old project that has this issue to the new project and see what's causing the problem..

Test after importing each track to nail down which one is the source of the issue.. (if any)

Note: This tutorial is for LP9 but it works much the same way in LPX

I have a Mac Book Pro (Retina 15inch, Late 2013)

8gb 1600 mhz DDR3

intel iris pro 1536 mb

And today I tried to launch LPX and nothing happens

I have Adobe PS and Ai, the both launch fine.

LPX won't event bounce, I've tried launching from the app folder

with no success. if you can help me out that would be awesome

Thoth,

Assuming you have restarted your Mac.... and LPX still wont launch....

Delete the LPX app from your applications folder..

Restart your Mac

Go to the Mac App Store app > Purchase tab

Find the LPX entry there

Click on the Install/Download button to the far right of it's entry under Purchases

Now a new copy of the latest version of LPX will be downloaded and installed to your Applications folder which at this time should be 10.1

If LPX is not listed under the Purchases tab, you are likely not signed into the Mac App Store using the same Apple ID you used to purchase LPX in the first place.

Go to the Mac App Store app menu bar > Store > Sign out.... Quit and relaunch the Mac App Store app.. and then Sign in using the correct Apple ID via the same Store menu item....

If, under the Purchases tab, it shows an LPX entry but it states it is Installed.. so you cannot download/install it again... then you have a copy of LPX on your system somewhere (maybe you renamed it?) and you must remove/delete that copy, empty trash... and restart your Mac again to be able to download it...

I SOLVED THE PROBLEM

I hope it is working for you also.

Right click Logic Pro X.app > choose "Show Package Content" > click on folder "contents", after that on "MacOs".

Now open a new Terminal window, drag the black Logic Pro X file inside the Terminal and press enter.

It should start now... a little bit tricky, but I don't want to download again. (Internet connection is not very fast)
