Why does my Macbook still sleep with sleep disabled

I need to use my MBP as an alarm clock. I have the energy saver settings set to never sleep while plugged in. Last night I left the MBP plugged in, and even enabled Caffeine (supposed to prevent all automatic sleep processes) and Nosleep (prevents sleep upon lid close) apps, AND used sudo pmset autopoweroff -0 (this prevents automatic safesleep/hibernation after a certain number of hours). I woke up early this morning, checked to see if the computer was awake, and much to my chagrin, it was asleep. Does anyone know why this still happens?

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
