Try updating through the options for updating iOS. So if this is happening for an over the air update, then update in iTunes or vice versa.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Apr 27, 2014 8:35 PM in response to jennyrschulteby PiLingual,Tried to update my iPhone 5S over air. Kept getting that error. Tried one last time and it bricked my phone. 64g model. Everything gone. Have to restore on iTunes. Seems like quite a few people are having this problem. Never doing this silly WiFi updating again. I'd love to ***** more but it's not like we can do anything about it other than some crazy nonsense normal phone users shouldn't have to do.... http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4451?viewlocale=en_US
