How can I prevent my I Tunes Account from being renewed each year with my credit card?

Q: I want to keep my account from renewing with my credit card and don't know how to do it.
There is no charge for the iTunes Store or an Apple ID unless you buy something or have subscribed to something, and there is no "renewal" of either an iTunes Store account or Apple ID required, so there's nothing you need to do.
