Oct 29, 2014 2:19 PM in response to jeffathertonby mattbrogs83,I Have the same problem. I also have the iPad 4 wifi & cellular 32gb. Owned it from new since November 2012. Tried everything possible but still nothing. I have spoke to apple via chat & on the phone & they advise me that this will need to be booked in for a service at my cost as its out of warranty! I don't think so...
Guys..what you don't get told is that the one year warranty you get with apple, also applies for 6 years after purchase ( 5 years in scotland) consumers in the U.K. have the right to ask the retailer to fix, replace any faulty item Purchased from them. I am visiting my local apple store on Saturday & have been told by Apple customer care to explain I want to : Exercise my rights to have my ipad serviced or replaced under the consumer law.
If it can't be fixed at apples cost then it's replaced. it's the law & simple. Don't pay anything else. Let apple sort this fault, it is there hardware that's at fault at the end of the day. Hope this helps. I shall upadte on Saturday evening of the outcome.
