After reviewing the error message displayed, the reason for the error message is due to a incompatibility between the WD Print share software and Mac latest OS installment.

The WD Print share software is currently support only up to Mac OSx 10.8, for which on Mac 10.9 it would create some issues as the software is not supported.

Sadly No time machine back-up.

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling (several times) but I get the same error for print share app.

I have the print drivers installed and use the router for network printing.

Again they ( Western Digital) don't think it is compatible and recommended a "downgrade" to OS 10.8 with a clean reinstall. I'm not sure where to get the OS for a clean reinstall.
