i connected my ipod to my computer it worked for a few minutes then froze on the opening apple icon says i have to update i did and says ther was a error updating now it wont even play music was trying to put my music on it
iPod touch, Windows XP, older ipod given to me

You need to supply more details about your iPod and the type of computer you are using and its operating system. Also... list any Troubleshooting Steps you have tried and their results.
