macbook pro late 2011, 2560x1440@30hertz?

Hello all,

i am using a macbook pro late 2011,

I have just purchase a new monitor of eizo2736w.

After asking eizo support, they said their monitor can support to 2560x1440@60hertz.

I wonder if it is my macbook pro problem, while it can only output to 2560x1440@30hertz..

I have no problem in running 1920x1080@60hertz...

Can anyone please tell me if the macbook pro with AMD Radeon HD 6750m can support to 2560x1440@60hertz?

This is solved by using the dual link cable. hurrah~

Is a Dual Link Cable required? Can another interface work? Mini Display Port to Display Port for example?

Hi, I have the same MB as yours and I also have the mini displayport dual link. When I switch from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 I could not tell the difference. Is yours noticeably different when you switch your resolution?
