It's the worst, don't install it and if you did, uninstall it.

It's the worst example of a quite unnecessary category of software.

Have you ever tried asking the question via the search box ... or even Google. You will find masses of info there, perhaps before you even get involved with something like MacKeeper. Even trials can leave a stain.

Make absolutely sure you have completely wiped it from your system.

OS X is not like a PC and does not require any third parts apps to maintain it. The VERY best thing you can do for a Mac is to run Software Update frequently and install all the recommended updates. DO NOT install any third party performance, maintenance, antivirus etc software.
