Q: I cannot connect to the internet on my 2011 Macbook Air.
I was told when I bought this model that it was pretty odd. Though I'm not sure the specifics myself -- I believe the odd parts are that is has no disk drive and no ethernet ports.
The problem itself is that it has been connecting just fine to this windstream modem at my new home, but we tried setting up a new connection in a new room wirelessly through another modem, but found "that we couldn't without a ethernet cable", (roomates words), not mine. When we came back to the room that had the Windstream modem I'd been connecting to, I found that it would no longer connect to the internet at all.
It will try and connect, but then says it cannot.
I've tried forgetting the network, but from what I can tell, it doesn't do it. It doesn't forget any network I've ever used on it.
Side note: I bought this from a friend for like, 900 bucks. I also (aparently) am the administer for the computer, as the computer remembers my name when I try to do network diagnostics, but I've never put in my name or the password. I believe the dude I bought it off did. Is there any way I can fix this problem as well?
MacBook Air, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), I'm not very tech savy.
