Keychain access password is not working

I never created a keychain password, after some time without using my Macbook Pro I forgot my log in password so I unlocked it using my apple ID and made a new log in password. Now every time I try to access some applications, in this case iCloud, I get the message "A keychain cannot be found to store...", when I try to reset to defaults, I get a window that asks me to enter my log in password, so I do. Then I get another window that says "com.apple.iCloudHelper.xpc wants to use the "Local Items" keychain. Please enter the keychain password" I had typed my log in password, my old log in password (which now I remember), my apple ID password and any other thing I could think of but nothing helps. Now I get the same problem when accessing to Safari, I am not ableto access iCloud, see my mesagges, syncronize iPhoto or anything. I´m on the edge of restoring factory settings. Can anyone help me before I do this?
