More details please. What app are you using to try to open the files. Where did the files come from?



All of the "Office" document editing applications on the iPad have limitations. Best try them out to see if they meet your needs.

It's or similiar to the issue with Microsoft exchange and IOS 7.1.x. This problem showed up in 7.1. See work-arounds listed here:

Use dropbox instead.


Resend the files to a gmail account and download from gmail. I have not read of any problems using a gmail account. Other than once the files touches an ipad, it may become corrupted. You need to send the file from the source to your gmail account.

I far as I know, this problem has not been solved 😮.

Try deleting your exchange account the re-defining.


Try what work-arounds you can. Use dropbox. For pdf, try goodread with dropbox.
