Apr 25, 2014 11:15 AM in response to neetsieby ChrisJ4203,★HelpfulYou can try to reset the phone by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. That does not require a backup as it does not affect data in any way.
If the server is not responding, that error is on the server side. It could be for any number of reasons, but not generally a problem with the phone.
