Apr 25, 2014 4:21 PM in response to Jnrhater96by Pinkfella,I just recently had this problem myself. It depends on which generation of iPod Touch you have. Newer = more expensive. Here is the page with Apple Store repair prices (click "Repair Pricing" on left side of page):

I have the newest (5th generation) iPod, and looked into getting it repaired by someone other than the Apple Store thinking it would be cheaper and in my case it was not. The nationwide repair company iCracked wanted to charge me $15 more than the Apple Store (glad I checked their price first). Apparently the reason for this is because the newest iPods are very difficult to repair. When I took it to the Apple Store instead of offering to fix it they only gave me the option of replacing it. Cost was $150.
