There is a suggestion in your other similar post, to contact Apple sales support or applecare, where you could buy a 'replacement install DVD' that would have a white label, not for retail sale, and they had two choices (may not have them now) either Tiger 10.4 or Leopard 10.5, depending on your computer model series; so you'd need to have the serial number handy to help match the generic disc with a possible match to hardware.
Or look at ebay, amazon, or other online resellers of vintage Mac OS X replacement install-restore discs, or official retail install disc sets for correct software to use with your 'considered obsolete' product. The best deal would be, if you could get the white label replacement DVD from Apple. This would not be an Apple Store, or the online Store; it would be through the Sales support or Apple Care. I do not have the correct phone numbers for either of these. In the US, people who had older Macs and could not get the original part number install restore DVD sets, were able to get this kind of product. A specialist in Mac OS X systems available would know if they still have these. I have not checked into availability; so you'd have to do research; then call to check.
Hopefully you can get the computer running.
There are only a few correct ways to do so.
When buying a used computer, in person or
at auction used resale, the discs should be
included w/ the purchase. They're part of it.
Good luck & happy computing!
