Where is "HP Director"? I have a HP psc 2450 photosmart all-in-one - Product

Where is "HP Director"? I have a HP psc 2450 photosmart all-in-one - Product # Q3090A. I'm using a MacBookAir with OS 10.7.5 The HP manual says that I can send a fax and scan from my computer using HP Director. The Apple support web info say about the HP 2400 series all-in-ones that: "Your driver is available directly through the OS X Lion operating system when you run Apple Software Update on your Mac. You do not need to download a driver from either the HP or Apple websites ." But I find no fax or scan ability enabled. There's no HP Director accessible on my computer. I really need to send and receive faxes, and the 3rd party scanner I use now is very flacky. In /library/hp/cups - I find "inkjet6.driver." "inkjet6" does not show up in a search on HP's support page. In System Preferences/Print & Scan/Printers, "psc 2400 series" is listed, but under "faxes" it is not listed, only the Internal Modem. The printer works fine. In a different thread someone suggested that in /Library/Image Capture/Devices, one should delete "HP Scanner.app" I see it and could delete it and reinstall (first turning off my printer), but which driver contains an install that will include HP Director?
