hwangph,
what were the steps which were taken to reset it and accidentally delete it?
You Formatted and or Erased the Macintosh HD and in doing that you removed OS X and all apps. You need to reinstall the operating system and all your apps.
How you do that depends on the age of your Mac. What model year is it?
BBecause my wireless wasn't working I tried manually resetting my computer, and after I did that, my hard drive was gone.
APril 2011 13 inch pro.
Then it is a early 2011 and it came with Snow Leopard pre-installed on it and it also came with 2 DVD discs. You'll need to use those DVD discs to reinstall OS X and the iLife apps.
Or if you have a time machine backup you can use that to restore your Mac.
That is IF the hard drive hasn't failed.
Your computer may be able to use Internet Recovery. If you try, I suggest using an ethernet cable connection if possible.
I Think my hd has failed. Its not showing up on the screen, and I can't find it
hwangph,
please provide more detail: which steps did you follow to manually reset your computer?
