Apr 30, 2014 10:41 AM in response to Sackmby Gyptians,Ditto re: WiFi and flakey battery after 7.1.1 update. iPad Air. A Factory restore has stablized the battery somewhat, but it still isn't charging/discharing properly. I'll try the modem and router reset for the WiFi issue.

Apr 30, 2014 1:04 PM in response to Sackmby Shibby175,I am also having issues with my iPhone 4 since the 7.1.1 update. (Lastnight April 29th)
My wifi will not connect and states the wireless password is incorrect.
(Yes, I checked the password and entered it in while I was looking at the Network Settings page on my router)
It didn't remeber the network either and will not let me renew the lease.
Any advice Apple???
Perhaps a new update coming soon?
If not, can I revert back to a previous update?

Apr 30, 2014 4:25 PM in response to Nonameinvaby Nonameinva,Well, the Almond worked, which pretty well seals the deal for me that my problems are linked to the 7.1.1 push. Apple fail.

May 1, 2014 12:58 AM in response to Sackmby JvGaal,I'm having the same issue with my iPad 2. All other devices like iPhone, iPod and the other iPad have no problem connecting to WiFi. It's only the ios 7.1.1 iPad 2 which keep loosing network connection. Also the connection strenght is lower then before and lower compaired to the other ios devices.

May 1, 2014 7:36 PM in response to Sackmby ifitaintbroke,My wifi no longer works on iPad3 after the 7.1.1 update. Was working before update. Network reset did not help. Go figure that major functionality of the device would be adversely targeted by an Apple software update. Makes one wonder about the intent and competency of these updates.

May 2, 2014 4:04 AM in response to Sackmby DronesRUs,Same issue on 2 devices after 7.1.1 update other devices not updated are fine.
Issue every few minutes ios 7.1.1 device drops wifi have to go back and reconnect via settings.
Issue occurs on home and work networks and started 30mins after update.
Restore / factory reset did not make a difference.

May 2, 2014 12:20 PM in response to Sackmby Magnum0ik,I am having an issue with this also.
After 7.1.1, my wifi disconnects but specifically when I'm downloading from itunes and usually a larger file I.e. A movie.
Some app updates also do this.
I am on BT Infinity 2 with unlimited downloads.
My wifi/internet works fine everything else including Netflix, apply TV so this is purely down to this update.

May 2, 2014 1:07 PM in response to Sackmby ashikowest,I updated my iPhone 5 and my iPad 3 to 7.1.1, but I did not update my iPad Mini Retina.
The 5 and the big iPad now load pages in Safari painfully slowly. The Mini is still darting from page to page like a happy squirrel.
Coincidence? I think not.
Here's hoping for another patch soon.

May 2, 2014 1:27 PM in response to Sackmby Startingtoloatheapple,Same issue on my ipad 2. I was using the internet fine, did the update then my connectivity was dramatically reduced and the wifi signal keeps dropping. However the whole time my son has been watching Netflix on his TV with no interruptions and my PC still connects fine. DEFINITLEY AN UPDATE ISSUE. I desperately need a fix.

May 2, 2014 2:49 PM in response to DronesRUsby judemallard ,Thank God I'm not losing my mind :-) I thought my iphone 5 was possessed - I updated last night - same thing was happing - similar stuff happening.
I had 3 different work emails on my phone (all with same domain) - but my main email account kept saying my incoming mail server not responding or can't verify - then that would fix it self - and then it wouldn't retrieve any of my emails at all - yet my ipad with the exact same settings would retrieve my emails.
So I deleted the whole account reset it up using same network and same server settings - it would do a complete dump of 100 emails - but then i would start getting the same message again. I even tried a restore from as far back as February - iphone would work for a few minutes but then it kept dropping my network server details - both in receiving and sending.
There's no logic to the sequencing *shaking head*

May 4, 2014 7:39 AM in response to Sackmby NideMac,We had a similar problem on just the home network, on other networks we could still connect. I went into the modem'a asdministration and reset the pre-shared key for the network and reset Network Connections and when I put in the network's new password I had no further problems.

May 5, 2014 1:13 PM in response to Sackmby jmanly,I'm having some what similar issues, since updating to 7.1.1. The slow connection is across all forms of data transfer. My wifi and my LTE are both running very slow, since updating. Simple things like browsing Facebook or watching videos on YouTube now take twice as long to accomplish.
Everything was working just fine, before the update.
It should also be noted that my battery drains at a completely unacceptable rate now. I never have bluetooth or anything like that on and I rarely even use it while at work, but for the occasional text.
I got to work 6 hours ago and my battery was 100%. It is now at 17% and it has been just sitting idly on my desk for the majority of the day.

May 6, 2014 1:19 PM in response to Sackmby timsm11,I'm having the same problem. I don't understand my ipad is working fine but my phone is dropping internet every like 2 minutes. I hope apple fixes this problem

May 7, 2014 9:58 AM in response to Sackmby FelixGarcia,Resetting the "Network Settings" seem to have worked so far for me.
