My iMac only has 1 GB of Memory...
My iMac only has 1GB RAM of memory... Does that mean I can no longer upgrade OS X because they require 2 GB RAM? What do I do now? Buy a New iMac???? Cause that's not happening..

Akthough 2gb RAM is the stated requirement for the later OS's, user experience indicates that running with less that 4gb, especially with Mavericks, and the OS will likely be a slow performer.
