If you have too many applications or windows open, this could cause your Mac to slow down.

Open the Activity Monitor in Applications/Utilities. In the bottom section, click on Memory. Do you see any green in the circle? Green indicates free memory. Look for Page in/outs. This means you are using more memory than you have installed and you are using free hard disk space as virtual memory. If your free hard disk space is low then your Mac will slow to a crawl.

Using Activity Monitor to read System Memory and determine how much RAM is being used

Restart your computer at least once a week. You might need to do this daily.

Quit your browsers every night.

Don't open too many windows in your browser.

Don't open too many applications at once.

Sorry to jump on to the bandwagon. I have a similar issue since about 1 week now. Have gone through several mac own repair tools, but to no avail.

Here is my system report from etrecheck. Can anyone see anything unusual?

Hello, feel free to start a new topic to get the mist helpers in on it & allow us to concentrate on your problems. 🙂

We'd need to see one of those .crash reports, but maybe this would work...

Open Console in Applications>Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

Click on the top line we want, Shift plus click on the bottom line we want, CMD+c to copy, then paste the text in a reply with CMD+v

A few dozen lines should be about right, hundreds or thousands won't likely be readable.
