Did Mavericks come pre-installed on your computer or did you download it from the App Store? The reason I ask is I'm showing 10.9.2 Build 13C1021. If Mavericks came pre-installed, that would explain the difference. If not, are you running a Beta version of 10.9.2?
i have an old 2008 macbookpro =)
i did install Mavericks for the App Store. After that instalation was not able to see any videos on news paper inet pages. I can see youtube and some other videos.
Software OS X 10.9.2 (13C1021) ok this is new after the uptade today. but still videos don't work. My mistake took the old number from the logs =)
Thank you for your intrest.
One thing that you can try quickly would be to download Google Chrome browser from http://chrome.google.com. Chrome is a great browser and comes with Flash built in.
You should also have a look on the website you are having problems with for support information that may tell you what specific plug-in they are using for their video.
Lastly, you could try installing VLC Player on your mac (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html. VLC Player is a trusted application that can play just about any video format that you would want including unfortionate cases where websites are using Windows Media (WMV) format videos.
