Power outage Mac Mini won't work

I shut down my mini and didn't shut it down when I turned off the power to upgrade an outlet. Now it won't power back on and let me sign in. Does anyone know how to restore it?

Mac mini, iOS 7.1.1

On the sign in page I hit the letter C on the keyboard and it let me sign in with my password and it loaded everything and it works now! The Apple person told me I would have to take it in for repairs. I'm glad I don't have to!
