iPod Nanp will not play songs - Help!

Just bought iPod Nano. Purchased songs on iTunes and downloaded to iPod. Music will not play on my iPod. Music works fine in iTunes. When I click on a song it brings it up for about 1 second, then screen goes back to top menu screen.

Any advice on how to fix this problem. I have version 1.2 of iPod Nano software and latest version of iTunes software as well 6.05?

Does this happen to only the iTunes Music Store music? If so, see this link:

iPod doesn't play content purchased from iTunes Music Store correctly

Have you tried restoring your iPod through the iPod Updater? See the details here:

Restoring your iPod

Before you do that, though, be sure to download the latest iPod Updater (6-28-06) from Apple's website:

Tried all of the recommendations you made and none of them resolved the problem. For some reason the iPod will not play any purchased iTunes songs.

Any other ideas?
