I want one song to repeat on my iPod Classic. When I set that song to repeat all songs on my iPod are set to repeat.
Can't I set just one song to repeat on my iPod Classic? The same thing is happening on another iPod nano I have.

iPod classic, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
Go to Settings/Repeat and press the Select (centre) button. It will cycle through off, repeat 1, and repeat all.
When in Repeat 1 mode, the icon on the Now Playing sceen will be two chasing arrows, one of which has a 1 in it.

If the icon on the iPod looks like this...
(but in black), then the iPod should only repeat the one track. If it doesn't, all I can suggest is that you Restore the iPod.
Be aware that a Restore will delete everything from your iPod and put back only what is in your iTunes Library. It will take a while to complete and it is done using iTunes.
If you don't like the idea, then the only other thing i can suggets is to put the one song in an On-The-Go Playlist and simply repeat that.
This, by the way, is the Repeat All icon ...

BUT…when I put the one song in repeat 1 mode (and I've made sure it was only 'repeat 1' song) still ALL of the tracks on the ENTIRE iPod (I have 8,000 songs!) show the little 'repeat 1' icon and ALL the songs repeat. When I take off 'repeat' NONE of the songs repeat. It's very strange that I can't seem to get only the ONE song I've selected to repeat.
Do you have a clue what's wrong? I'm chasing arrows everywhere!!! lol
