is it best to transfer my music on to my new pc before downloading i tunes?
I have my music on an old computer in various files and formats , would it be best to trafer them as they are on to my new laptop. and then down load itunes.

Hi Ade Ritchie,
Either is fine. When you open iTunes for the first time, it will ask you if you want to add the music that is currently on your computer, or you can add it manually after the fact as outlined in the following article:
