Q: okayyy, trying to restore device after abortive ios7.1.1 upgrade.

stuck on itunes 'restore ipad' screen. Have tried three times now and just get back to the same point where it asks restore and update? I click yes and off we go again. Bad enough losing everything (yes I know I should have backed up) without all this time wasting crap. Has anyone got any ideas, or should I just keep trying?

Are you using recovery mode to restore the iPad? If you aren't, give this a try. And yes, it can take multiple attempts before it will work.
