Q: Please help, my new iphone 5s is not working

I plugged my phone into my computer to carge and it connected to my itunes which then asked for an update so I clicked yes.  Now my phone just has the itunes logo on the front and wont do anything else! Iv'e tried to turn it off and on and taken out the sim but its still the same.  Iv'e plugged it in and unplugged it and no change Not sure what else I can do?  My itunes doesn't even recognise that my phone is plugged into the computer now.  Can anyone help with this?  The nearest store is miles away.
