Q: why does my iphone 5S keep telling me that my password is incorrect when I know it is correct?

I have a new iphone 5S (I have and used iPhones for years) and am having trouble with my email. I am told that my passwords for several accounts are incorrect. I have checked the passwords and written them in to the mail accounts. I see the check marks appear telling me thst they have been verified, then a few monents later I get the passwork error mnessage again about passwords.

What is going on and how do I rectify it?

    I'm having exactly the same problem. Email accounts have worked on all previous iPhones. Just recently I'm getting error messages telling me the passwords are incorrect and would I like to re-enter them. I re-enter them and as always get all green checkmarks as if everything is fine. Next day, same error.

     

    Anyone have an explanation?

    If you have two-step verification turned on in your email account, you'll have to log in with a browser and turn it off.
