I can never eject the Google Chrome .dmg from my computer

Everytime I restart my computer, there is a "?" instead of a Google Chrome icon. Everytime I open the app, a window pops up, telling me to move Google Chrome to my "Applications". I already tried this many times but i cannot remove this .dmg from my computer.

Can someone help me please?

If you're running Google from a disk image, yes, you need to copy it to your Applications folder (if, indeed, it is a disk image file). Once in Applications try opening Chrome from there... everything OK? Then you can drag the disk image icon to the Trash and it should disappear from your Desktop.

That's how it should work, anyway...
