Buffalo Terastation afp & smb shares

Hi,

I have recently set up a 1TB RAID5 Buffalo Terastation at our office... The setup includes network shares and group and user permissions.

I have a couple of problems and I'm not sure if there is a fix for them or not...

1. When typing in the ip address of the Terastation and connecting/authenticating via afp://xxx.xxx.xxx... the login/mounting is quick, however some of the files are not viewable... when doing the same but using smb://xxx.xxx.xxx the login/mounting takes a little longer but all files are viewable.

2. When connecting/authenticating with smb://xxx.xxx.xxx the login/mounting on 10.3 is quick - however as above... smb login on 10.4 takes it's time.

Thanks,

Dominic
